Brave Talking Group
The Brave Talking Group takes place on the third Friday of each month at 4:30 pm. This one-hour group gives children with selective mutism the opportunity to practice speaking with their peers with structure and support from therapists. Activities in the group are fun and engaging, including art projects, songs, and games. In each group, therapists design activities to help kids to practice brave talking skills with one another.
Once the child has first met one-on-one with a therapist and achieved agreed-upon goals, they are ready to practice in a group setting. Our clients find great benefit in practicing their new skills in a safe, supportive, and structured environment.
